Crikey! Now *That’s* A Sale!
Anyone check out the merchandise on U2.com recently? They’re having a sale on some of the Vertigo ‘06 T-shirts…$8.00 plus shipping! Woah - that’s some markdown! Especially given that the Vertigo ‘05 T-shirts are still showing up as $25 - $30.
Just in case your savings account is chocker-block full of cash at the moment, their newest offering is a $400 4-lithograph set of “Vertigo Live”, set to ship on July 21. They’re quite lovely, but for that price - I’ve got my money already “invested” in the Boy, October, War, Under A Blood Red Sky re-issues, the new album coming out in a few months … and oh yeah - a tour next year. With the type of economy we’re all facing, an $8.00 T-shirt from ‘06 sounds real good right now.
