Yep, someone is selling a little press kit about U2 - A Diary on eBay UK. How crazy is that??!! I believe this is a press kit that Omnibus put together while taking the book around to the various publishing industry trade shows, trying to convince booksellers to order lots of copies. )

Obama tells Blender U2 is number eight.

Blender Magazine, recently published the top ten song picks of US presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama.

U2 didn’t make McCain’s list, but came in at number eight on Obama’s with “City of Blinding Lights,” which he uses frequently at his campaign appearances.

I’m not sure what is more disturbing—that McCain doesn’t list any U2 at all, or that he has two ABBA songs in his top five.

U2 to release early concert video on DVD

SANTA MONICA, Calif., (UPI) -- The Irish rock band U2 is set to release its 1983 concert video, "Live at Red Rocks," on DVD next month, Universal Music Enterprises announced Monday.

The DVD will be released by Interscope/Island/UME Sept. 30 in the United States, along with the accompanying live album, "Under a Blood Red Sky."

Recorded at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado June 5, 1983, "Live at Red Rocks" will be available for the first time on DVD, and will include five previously unreleased songs and a director's commentary.

The remastered "Under a Blood Red Sky" album was originally released in November 1983, and consists of live recordings from three shows on the band's War Tour through Europe and the United States.

A deluxe version featuring the CD and the DVD together will be available, as well as single-disc formats of the CD and DVD.

The label said a vinyl LP version of the album will also be released.

The CD features performance of the songs "Gloria ," "11 O'Clock Tick Tock," " I Will Follow," "Party Girl," "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "The Electric Co.," "New Year's Day" and "40."

The DVD shows the band singing the aforementioned songs, as well as "Out Of Control," "Twilight," "An Cat Dubh," "Into The Heart," "Surrender," "Two Hearts Beat As One," "Seconds," "I Threw A Brick Through A Window" and "A Day Without Me."
