U2 team up with Black Eyed Peas

U2 have announced that they will team up with the Black Eyed Peas for the US leg of their world tour.

The Irish rockers kicked off their massive 360 tour in Barcelona, Spain earlier this month (Jul09) and when the group come to America in October (09) they will be supported by the Peas.

But singer Fergie admitted she is scared to take the stage before the rock band, because the crowd might not be interested in their music. She said: “We’re gonna have to work for it. The crowd are gonna have their arms folded at the start.”

LA Times Recognizes U2’s Attention to Iran

In this new blog entry for the LA Times, Jahd Khalil notes that the green-tinted screen for “Sunday Bloody Sunday” on the current tour is a nod to the “signature color of the protests” by citizens of that country, who are still fighting for fair elections.

So…did any of you at the U2360 shows in Barcelona or Milan make the connection between the color of the screen and the recent troubles in Iran?

Matt McGee: Croation Superstar

As many of you know, last year our @U2 founder’s book U2 – A Diary was published.

The work has already been translated into Japanese and Portuguese, and is currently being translated to Croatian for an upcoming release.

To promote the book at an upcoming event abroad, Matt agreed to appear via video on this Croatian site (be sure to make note of the fact he and Bono share the same page—at least at the time of this post they did).

To hear him discuss the creation of the book, watch the video here.

Way to go, Boss!
