Audio Of U2′s New Song ‘North Star’ Live From Turin

A Love Song for the Universe U2′s North Start

We have has come across a great sounding copy of the acoustic ballad “North Star” from the August 6th concert in Turin.

Singer Michael W. Smith joined the band in the studio during the Atomic Bomb sessions and worked on at least one track with them entitled “North Star”. That track, which was a tribute to Johnny Cash, has not yet surfaced officially or unofficially in any form. A song introduced by Bono as “North Star” was played in Turin during the U2 360° Tour, however it is unknown whether or not this is the same song that was worked on during the sessions. – Wikipedia

The View Presents: The Edge

In ‘The View Presents… The Edge’ the guitarist talks about the responsibilities of fame, creativity and the band’s longevity.

Commenting on how U2 have remained so cohesive a unit over 30 years, he says: “Maybe it’s because we were friends before we were a band. So in a sense the friendships were solid, so when it came to those moments of conflicts or difficulty, we kind of were able to skirt around the big conflicts and diffuse the situation and so we’re operating in pretty much the same way now as we always did.”
